PhD, Urologist-Endourologist, Medical Director, and CEO of AKFA Medline Clinic

Dr. Azimdjon Tursunkulov is a leading expert in the field of urology with specialized focus on endourology, urogynecology, and oncourology. He graduated from the Tashkent Medical Academy in 2007, followed by a clinical residency in urology at the Tashkent Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education.

Throughout his career, Dr. Tursunkulov has completed advanced training in world-renowned institutions, including:
• the Smith Institute for Urology (USA) under the mentorship of the legendary Dr. Arthur Smith,
• and medical centers in South Korea, Germany, Italy, and the USA, focusing on endourology and laparoscopic techniques.

In 2020, he earned his PhD and became a pioneer in Uzbekistan by introducing cutting-edge surgical methods such as Supine PCNL and ECIRS, improving outcomes and standards of care in stone disease management.

International Involvement

Dr. Tursunkulov is highly active in the global urological community:
• He has delivered lectures and performed live surgeries (RIRS and Supine PCNL) at congresses in Georgia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, and South Korea.
• In 2021, he co-founded the international BRIDGE project, supported by Uroweb.ru, Russian Urology Today, and Talkabouturology.com.
• He is a moderator of the global educational platform Endoglobe, since 2021.
• Actively involved in multicenter research studies on FANS, HOLEP, and ERBT.
• In 2024, he was elected a member of the EAU Endourology Working Group of the European Association of Urology.

Leadership and Academic Contribution

Since 2021, Dr. Tursunkulov has served as Medical Director, and since 2023, as CEO of AKFA Medline Clinic. Under his leadership, the clinic became a university-affiliated teaching hospital, in collaboration with the Central Asian University.
He is also the founder and director of a modern residency training program, aimed at developing the next generation of highly skilled urologists.

Central Asian Endourology Congress 2025 (CAEC)

Under Dr. Tursunkulov’s leadership, the first Central Asian Endourology Congress (CAEC) was successfully organized and held on June 19–20, 2025, in Tashkent.
The congress brought together top international experts and regional specialists for live surgeries, scientific discussions, and hands-on education in endourology. The event marked a significant milestone in the region’s advancement in minimally invasive urology and set a new standard for future collaboration and innovation.
